Thanks! I'm not entirely sure taking the caps off would be optimal. They are light-weight and perhaps at low speeds with them off could help slightly, but as the speed increases I think their aerodynamics helps more with them on.
There are a few other things I'd like to try that I didn't. One is folding the mirrors. Another is possibly pre-heating the battery by tricking it to navigate me to a supercharger while I'm in the staging lanes. Another is charging it up to 95% and then hauling it to the track on a flatbed to get max hp.
