I read that there are 2 different model3 key fobs, one with passive and one without. Which one is supplied by Tesla UK?

The original fob sold in the USA didn’t have passive entry. The current fob, which is the one currently sold here, does.

Aha! OK, there's where I was confused: from the previous post I got the impression you were saying the fob could somehow magically unlock the charger cable from the car when I walked up to it. I see now that I got it wrong because I made asumtions about your charger: I don't have a Tesla button on my charger so you can see why I got excited!

You have to do a long press of the boot (trunk) of the fob to unlock the charger whilst standing beside the charging connector on the car.

This stops charging and unlocks the charging port.

Better than opening the app on the phone and getting in the car (IMHO)
