M3P Tyre Issues

I don’t think this purely a Tesla thing but due to the state of our roads. I know someone who runs a repair garage and they used to see a couple of damaged tyres a month and now it’s pretty much every day. They also get at least one cracked wheel rim a week and suspension damage most weeks, both of which used to be rare events. Having said that I don’t think very low profile tyres on cast wheels help.

I’ve worked in the tyre trade for +25yrs. There is only one cause for this - impact damage. If you’re not satisfied, there is a legal process to follow. You buy 2 x new tyres from a chosen retailer (I’d suggest a good local independent specialist). You then complete a form and the retailer will return your old tyres for inspection. You’ll receive a letter from the mfg informing you of the outcome of said inspection.

99.9% of inspections result in “user damage”

Whatever you decide, you need two new tyres fella.
