Map shaded in certain locations

I don't know how else to describe it, but my map will have a distinct contrast in color in certain areas when I am driving. Just curious if anybody knows why?

Is it always in the same locations? Aerial photography is highly affected by light conditions, sun, cloud, photo angle, time of day. Some data providers apply a lot of "smoothing" to the colors. For example as you pan and zoom in Google Maps aerial you see very little differences. Others have more contrast between pictures...

Looks like the satellite imagery for the upper part was taken under different weather conditions than the lower part.

Go to Google Maps and look at the same location. If it appears the same, that confirms satellite imagery from Google which is what Tesla uses for display.
