Map zoom level refresh MS

Is there a way to set the zoom level so that it stays zoomed to a certain distance while not navigating? I know if you have it navigating, it will autozoom accordingly, but I want it to maintain a closer view when not using navigation. It's so zoomed out, its pointless.

I think zooming with two fingers is temporary. However, if you tap the screen once, you'll see +/- icons appear. If you use those, I believe it stays permanent. It's the case on my model 3, I assume it applies to the S too...

Did not notice +/- icons. Where do they appear?

On my car, you need to do a first tap on the screen for them to appear. I have + and - at the top right corner, and the satellite view / traffic / chargers at the bottom right.

Just went and tried it. Unfortunately, the MS doesn't have that feature.

i knol exactly what you mean and it is really annoying not being able to lock in the zoom and have it follow the car.... I hope they give us the option to lock in the zoom on maps in the near future.

When I set the map zoom using a voice command on a pre- refresh MS, it seems to stick for a while. Maybe give that a try?
