MCU upgrade 2016 Model X

I have Model X 2016 Ap2.5. Considering an MCU upgrade. wanna check with the group if that improves audio quality on my vehicle. My car does not have any infotainment upgrade.

correction. this car does not have any Audio system upgrade.

It will not improve your audio quality. It will improve the responsiveness of your GUI. Everything will load faster. You will get apps that your don't have now like Caraoke. Most of the apps are games that can be played when the car is parked.

I've just upgraded my MX 2018 from MCU1 to MCU2 (and HW2.5 to HW3).
I'm happy to have done it: everything in the GUI is faster, I've got all the software updates up to 2024.20.1 (I was stuck at 2022.x.x.x).

Maps is better, front driver screen updates are very nice with many additions in what you see (cones, obstacles, other cars, walking persons around, etc., mini navigator is nice and includes traffic), then games, Spotify with all the latest updates.

No Vision Park assist (it seems to be not delivered to vertical screen Teslas, at least not yet), but not missing it (I had a MY 2023 before this one), since with USS I have all I need and the autopark works very well without "vision".

Audio doesn't get any improvement out of this upgrade.
If cameras are old, they will also be replaced (that was not my case).

You might have AP2.0, which started with builds in October 2016. AP2.5 did not start until August 2017.

No, camera replacement is not a part of the MCU2 upgrade. Cameras would be replaced on AP2.0 cars that bought FSD.
