Missing trunk sound deadening from factory

Hi, does anyone know if this piece is needed for a Model Y? My wrap installer found this and pointed out to me that it's missing. Tesla said that once it comes off the line and they take it to the track, if it's not needed they remove it. This kind of doesn't make sense to me.

If it bothers you ask them to put some dynamat in there while they are pointing.

Seems like the right time to add some while things are taken apart for the wrap.

I've never removed the paneling on my rear hatch to see if it's missing or there.
