No delivery scheduled yet, but current EDD is Jun 20-24. I'm going to be out of town the afternoon of the 23rd and 24th. Is it worth contacting an SA now, or should I wait until delivery is scheduled?

And the countdown continues. 5 days left (unless Tesla pulls a fast one . I went by the SC this morning and it’s still not there. I know they say to allow 2 days to prep/inspect/update/etc but it’s cutting it close.

Sigh….almost everyone with my order date has their car or has a delivery date lmao. Going for day 84! Still nothing and I know the SA can’t do anything. So just standing around waiting. I also had to change my payment to cash since my financing is about to expire.

Thanks, good call. Hopefully I get the option to schedule delivery early next week and I can get it in before I leave, or they'll work with me to do it the following Monday. Getting antsy over here.

Finally got my first EDD change! Pushed back 2 days, but shortened 5 days on the back end. So a net positive? At least I know my app isn't broken.

I contacted my SA mins after getting my VIN and reminded him of my looming trip. We will see if it holds but within a few mins I had a delivery appointment set up. He doesn’t always communicate in great detail and hopefully I am not getting a rejection vehicle but rejection aside I’d think if I just got a vin it would still be in Fremont? (And now I’m going to over think this… lol)

Edit: didn’t consider deliveries beyond California. Just saw the OP location.

Did you get the text notifying you that your car has been shipped? If so, it usually takes around 2 weeks to get to the east coast locations.

Got my VIN last night... EDD updated at the same time... 6/22 - 6/26. No contact from anyone yet, but I haven't reached out either... Guess its time to start looking for financing...

No, no shipping text. I never got a VIN text either. I'm thinking my area may not be as responsive as others.

Thanks. I will probably wait until early next week if I do reach out before I get a delivery scheduled. I saw another poster here from Philly get a delivery scheduled a week before their EDD window so I'm hoping to hear something early next week which should give me enough time to sort it out. Seem perfectly reasonable that if I can't do the 23rd or 24th that they could just wait for the 27th, but who knows.

So, Tesla will give you a 3 day window to get your car. That's it. Period. If you can't get your car on one of the days they provide, you lose the car.

Random news: Tesla has a contract with Samsung to obtain new cameras that are 4-5 times higher resolution than the current cameras. Production of the camera modules may start as early as July. No idea when they might show up in vehicles.

I wonder if this news will trigger a bunch of holds for people interested in FSD.
