Wow! That's awesome!! So you went from showing a May-June EDD to VIN

The SA called me first and stated that they had a Perfomance Model 3 similar to mine but had White Interior. I have a dog and two kids so I just didnt want to go that route.

He stated that there were other owners that were not able to take delivery for 3-5 weeks so there may be one freed up. So an hour later, my vin is assigned and i am working to scheduled pickup time and then will be coordinating with the Detail shop to get the ceramic coating done.

Crazy turn of events.

The average wait time from order date to delivery for 2021 M3LRs in Red Multicoat orders reported to the tracker was about 52 days.

I took what you did and expanded it a bit.
I took all the 2021 and 2022 orders and found the average delivery time. In order to improve accuracy, it did the TRIMMEAN with removing the top/bottom 20% numbers, so it's a more accurate average.
I came up with 54.3 days for delivery.

Congrats! That’s awesome. This is giving those of us who ordered before you so much needed hope. I had lost hope when EDD got pushed out 2 months after a 3/26-3/30 EDD (I knew it was too good to be true). My home charger and accessories are all ready since mid-March after my SA texted about preparing for delivery and trade-in. I know it’s not their fault, but man, what a let down. Now, I just won’t get my hopes up until the dang VIN gets assigned.

Anyone else having extreme Tesla-envy lately, especially when I see my exact configuration zooming by? Mine intensified after the EOQ push that skipped those of us on the East Coast. Gas prices are starting to decline too. Here’s to getting a record number of deliveries before the start of summer!

I think one of the most curious things about this process of ordering this car for me is the waves of excitement and let down. The day I ordered my car, I was over the moon. When I say it was 90+ days away from delivery, I was let down. Seeing people graduate and Tesla's on the road, gets me so amped up to get in mine and drive. Dont care where, just go for a drive. The anticipation when you open the app, the small pause while the EDD pops up and hoping it will be sooner, but then let down when it stays the same.

I did have a moment yesterday where I was tempted to change my color and wheels, but my wife talked me down. I actually like the Aerowheels and the ability to pop the covers off for around town and then popping them on for longer drives.

Anyway, no changes today. Same End of May through end of June window. On the plus side, when it gets here, our weather will be very little rain and I will get to enjoy summer in the new ride.

Picking up tomorrow at 4pm. Wife is not going to be able to go with me so boo hoo on that, but she will get to come to pick it up on Friday after the Ceramic Coating is done. figured, I better get it done before I have had it too long

Its going to be hard driving it and then dropping off so quickly but best to get it done

It's the number you get the text from after you place your order.
The only time they've reached out was to ask if I was doing a trade-in.

I'm currently at 43 days. If I get it in a month, that will put me at 73 days.

I called Tesla to ask to make sure everything was good and was told to expect the car likely in the middle of my EDD. But was told things could change at anytime. So that would put me at around an approx 84-91 day wait to get the car.

I gotta be honest, I am not waiting as long as some of these people. It’s only been four weeks and I’m about to lose my mind. I’ll give it 75 days and I’m out. I’ll buy something else, take delivery of the Tesla and then sell it for a profit.

@FLLcaz I ordered 3/15 in Indiana (Black on black without FSD). My latest EDD is June 1 thru July 6. Don't worry too much about the EDD. I'm the least patient person I know and it is killing me. When I let my logic take over, it's apparent by reading this thread that there's too many factors for us to extrapolate any sort of conclusion on when our cars are going to be delivered. Just relish in the knowledge that it IS coming. Took me longer than I care to admit to get to this point... not saying I won't lose this new-found patience the longer it drags on, but I'm trying. Im really only hanging around to see if people are still reporting issues with build quality and what specifically I should be on the lookout for. Maybe this is the wrong forum for that? Oh well. Congrats on the purchase! Black on black with blacked out windows is the ONLY way to go!!!

I think the only difference in our builds is that mine is white/white instead of black/white! Which location are you picking up from?

FYI, you might want to add your OD and EDD's in your signature. It helps everyone see what EDD's and order times are.
Yes, it sucks getting so close then having it pulled out from underneath you. I'm focusing on mid-May now.

I agree! Except I did the white interior so I don't have to look at that "wood" on the dash.
