Model 3 - LR AWD Waiting Room

I was JUST instant approved but there must be a delay in their system. I haven't received an email on what rate I was approved for and I don't see any loans in loan status either. Was there some delay when you first applied to finding the rate?
Hey, can you tell me if you used the DCU long auto loan form from their home page that ask about the down payment and stuff or the short form in the account offers that doesn’t really ask anything except for the amount you want to borrow when you got your instant approval? I figured I would go ahead and apply since my EDD starts in 6 days. I’ve waited long enough on the car that I don’t really want to wait on a loan decision too lol.

I've checked the source code for my VIN so many times that I feel I'm now qualified to be a web programmer.
You could add the VIN finder extension in Chrome :)

70 days since my OD
7 EDDs assigned
1 11-day EDD window
2 14-day EDD windows (currently on my 2nd)
3 days until the start of my latest 14-day EDD window
0 VINs assigned

The wait continues.
56 days and not one EDD change

I’m beginning to feel like I rather have multiple EDD changes as starring at the same day over and over has made me go crazy lol

I think when I see the date change, I’m going to throw a party 😂

As a SW engineer I think the EDD is just a system that lives on top of the other system. It knows the order date and can make predictions when it's likely the car is going to get built / assigned. But there are a lot of variables that play into the reality of it, that the system doesn't know about.
Like pulling cars onto a delivery truck to maximize load to a certain destination, cancellations and supply chain issues.
That would very well work with the SA statement that the original date is the most accurate. There are a few freak cases where folks get their cars ahead of time, but might just be "there's now a red LR sitting here that could fit onto the truck that goes to XYZ so let's load it up and assign".

I used the short form from the offers page. I usually have pre-approvals from them so I checked there first. I didn’t have a pre-approval this time around fwiw. My DCU provided FICO 4 was 784. They use EQ FICO 4 which is actually a mortgage score. It’s handy to have around when you are home shopping/refinancing actually. There aren’t too many ways of getting this score for free. I digress again.

As a QA engineer I wonder what was the business requirement and acceptance criteria for the EDD feature, and how anyone in their right mind signed off on it?

Friends, today is my delivery day. I thought I had chosen Fremont pickup but not wanting to delay things further, I just stuck with home delivery between 4-6pm. My VIN is 238xxx and I will obviously report back on mobile charger/charge port/matrix lights and anything else you guys are interested in.

Financing through Tesla (done) and my Tesla insurance starts today (much cheaper than any of the traditional carriers for me). Cashiers check in hand but will talk to the delivery specialist and inspect my car before handing it over.
Quick update on my successful 238xxx VIN home delivery.
Mobile connector - yes
Charge port - yes and currently charging from my 10-30 dryer outlet
Matrix headlights - NO 😭

Maybe that’s the problem. A SW Engineer seeks for correctness in his code, a QA Engineer looks for errors. While a Data Scientist has to be much more comfortable with uncertainty and variability. Your EDD is much more uncertain due to variability.

Think like a Data Scientist. 🤣
