I asked already and we get a three year sticker that started January 1st of this year so we already have lost 6 months of use

and there is a company that makes magnets for the HOV stickers so you don’t stick on to the paint just have to remember to take them off if you are not using them so nobody steals them..
Wow, I guess three years is better than nothing. Thanks.

Also, it looks like at this point the program ends September 30, 2025. From the state website:

Please note that the CAV decal program will end, and any remaining valid decals will expire on September 30, 2025.

Don't worry, your state will find a way to recoup that lost money from you.

This is the most accurate thing I've ever read on the internet
I have so been toying with changing to a P also. It looks awesome but about a $8k delta from the LR and I’ll probably do AB also. The only thing preventing me is the wheels/tires and potential issue with potholes. California roses suck because of reduced gas tax revenue from all the EVs on the road. Unintended consequences in action.
Yeah don't let them fool you, that's absolutely not true. California charges $1.26 per gallon in tax and the state of California currently has a $98 billion budget surplus. That's $5500 PER HOUSEHOLD in California. I'm sure that could fill more than just a couple potholes....

I've had solar going on 9 years. I pay next to nothing to power my home and EVs. Next step, battery storage.

When designing our system we took our usage last year + 10% + the worst kw per mile we could find for the M3LR and multiplied that by my work commute miles times 6 days a week (to add extra cushion). All told came out to just under 18,000 kwh per year so we built a bit over that.

Got my delivery text!

Good luck with the delivery date range, they just pushed mine back 2 days due to transit delay 😩. You may get lucky and the transit delay doesn’t affect your area.

What is the company that makes the magnets for the HOV stickers? I always hated the look of those stickers haha.

Graduation Post

Picked mine up from Fremont factory yesterday. Weirdest buying experience of my life, but not really negative.

Ordered a M3LR on 3/6, informed 5/24 of pickup window which was 5/25 to 5/27. Someone in here had recommended Affinity Federal Credit Union and they gave me the best rate out of all the options (2.61%). USAA was close to 5%, which seems insane to me. My score is a few points shy of 850, so it's a tale of the times for interest rates.

Michelin tires, Li-ion battery, mobile charger w/ J1772 adapter, "premium" non-global headlights, which the SA confirmed earlier in the week. *sugar* ton of Tesla's going out on car haulers and quite a few in the delivery spots.

Minor issues with panels. Hood out of alignment by a few cm, passenger front window trim/scraper slightly raised, passenger tail light has a weird gap between the two lights on the side. Showroom person instructed me to accept the vehicle and schedule a service appointment right away. They wouldn't do anything on the spot unfortunately.

The vehicle is pretty cool. I drive a truck that gets 17MPG 15,000-20,000 miles a year and my work has free Level 2 chargers, so it made sense to finally go electric for my daily driver. This is also my first American car out of the 30 or so cars I've owned over the last 18 years of driving.

Congrats. Newer or older VIN?

For those in SoCal, do the current Teslas qualify for the carpool sticker. Someone told me they did not think so. Carpooling and the ever increasing gas prices was what finally made me order a Tesla. It would suck if I can't carpool alone. SoCal traffic sucks.

You may want to ask in the California section of the forum. There are current owners who may be more well versed.

Picked up my car today at the Salt Lake location in Utah. VIN is 258xxx and included the mobile charger kit. It did not have the matrix headlights, but I honestly don't really care. I pretty much forgot about it until I started writing this now. The old headlights are still really good, and in my opinion might actually be bit better with high beams on these long country roads in Utah when I really need them. There was another car in the lot with a 257xxx VIN that had them, so it looks like that is the cutoff for this latest batch.

Anyway, the car was in fantastic condition, panel gaps on the exterior were perfect. The only blemish was a slight mark on the driver side rear view mirror which I've got a mobile service appointment for paint touch up. Everything in the interior was perfect, no issues. Car was at 80% charge when I drove it off the lot. No weird noises while driving, and it was a smooth ride with the 18' wheels. Sound system is great, and the car is really fast. I'm not gonna buy the acceleration boost for awhile as I'm still getting used to the base speed.

This is such a fun car to drive. I already put 100+ miles on it today just looking for an excuse to drive around. The 14-50 outlet I had installed at my house (and the adapter) charges the car at the expected 30 miles per hour with no issues. Good luck to everyone else, it is a great vehicle.

That’s my plan as well supposed to start the process in 2 week to get the panels set up. Let the sun charge my car. F SDGE

Our January bill doubled over last year using just a bit more kwh (same kwh of peak). That was the final straw. The solar payment is a bit high but with the increases this year it is probably still cheaper over the year than sdg&e. Plus sdg&e announced another 8.6% increase next year. We went with Palomar Solar and I give them a 9.8 out of 10. Who did you go with?

Going with Tesla solar it took for them to get my system design but once that went thru it’s been pretty smooth.
