Just got off phone with delivery specialist. They don't expect my car to be in Houston till the 21st and then it has to get 3rd party shipped to Louisiana.

Ordered 11/13 VIN in Source 12/3

Ordered 10/25 and Vin in source 12/3 as well, I was told by my DA this morning to expect delivery tomorrow. I'm not entirely sure if I believe that, especially if they're telling you the 21st+. SE Louisiana here.

I ordered an AWD back in November and switched to P3D- on December 3rd, deep blue metallic, black, no FSD. Only see VIN in source code as well as had it emailed to me, 6022xx. Have financing approved and uploaded proof of insurance. Store manager in Denver said he expected delivery in 1-2 weeks time which I find pretty optimistic.

I'm assuming there is no point in constantly checking my account as I'm guessing they're just going to call to schedule delivery? Will I even see a VIN on my account page before then?

Another email from store manager saying that my vehicle is in the staging area and is waiting truck assignment. He was hopeful that I will get a delivery text in the next 48 hours. How long does it take to truck from CA to CO, 2-3 days? I'm assuming there are stops on the way.

Yeah... I really wonder if they can meet this 12/31 deadline. I was offered the chance to buy a test drive car with 2000 miles on it and 19 inch tires instead of 18 inch, but I declined. Now I don’t know when I’ll get my car... lol.

also, I even had to stop driving my car cuz otherwise I would go 1000 miles over the mileage number I gave them for the trade in estimate... is no one else having this concern??

did anyone who already got their M3 have an issue with their trade-in car accumulating miles during the long ass wait?
Speaking of trade in, mine passed 30days and 1k miles, have no choice but to use my car, im in a medical field, i wished im an engineer who can work from home, anyhow i spoke with my SA and she has to quote on kbb price again, its been now 2 days and no word, fortunately i did run it myself and my car price didn't depreciate much from previous, i just hope we have same price quote..
Ordered: Oct 25 SR+ pearl white/black 19' no FSD still no VIN on page and source, and i am seeing people ordered later than mine that has already have VIN, "Jelouse" lol, mostly from east, im in bay area, fremont Tesla factory is just miles away, im still right in middle of dark tunnel! I ll wait til i see the end of tunnel!

Will do!!

Thanks will do!
Heading there once the the kids are done and hope I can get the MVPA to the bank before they close at 3pm PST. With only Monday as the next business day to get everything done by Tue 10am, I'm nervous!!

To think, waiting was painful, now that is almost here is even more stressful!!

Thx!! And good luck everyone!!

**Update** Just took delivery. :):):)

Be sure to check your car before letting them go!! Car had minor panel gaps, but interior was a bit sloppy, a small leather ding/rip in the driver door (need to make an appointment to get it fix), tape exposed through the carpet in the backseat and both lumber control wasn't working and had to be adjusted on the spot fix. Software needed upgrade and ONLY HALF CHARGED!!

For Seattle WA folks, delivery guy said they got a good amount shipment and they are getting 5-6 out per person per day and is a 20-30 appointments.

so did they note everything you identified or give you a "due bill"? wondering how formal this acceptance process ends up being.

No, just do a thorough visual check, make sure you got the right VIN and model config and test out the electrics. The DA should note all your comments and concerns down (take pics) and if he/she can't fix it on the spot, is internally added to Tesla so when you make an service appointment they will have the notes. Additionally, you also got 100 miles after delivery to report any issue too.

shoutout to San Antonio Dominion store employees. I didn't even purchase my car there but it was getting delivered there and then carrier direct to me.

Every time I called them they were extremely helpful and sounded just as excited as I was to receive it. They even helped with tracking the carrier direct driver giving me a much clearer time to expect delivery.

I am right next door in Manteca, ordered 11/1 (blue SR+)

Where are you picking up from? I ordered for fremont, but i have heard they may be changing it to Dublin?

Not heard a peep from any SA or delivery folks at this point.
Very nice! Dublin is where im going tp pick up mine as it is closer to our place, My SA told me, it will be before xmas, hopefully! I ll keep u posted once i have the date..

I received my full VIN from my phone advisor to shop for insurance, and in 5 mins the car was visible on my order page with the right specs.

It's been a few days now and the VIN is not visible in the source yet.

Anyone have a similar experience? Most folks first see their VIN when it pops up in their source...

I also got my VIN from my DA when i swapped to the stealth but it populated in the SC immediately.

You might give the Phone rep a call back to double-check?

Yesterday morning I noticed we had our MVPA and that my VIN was different from what it said in source just the day before (from 6026xx to 6013xx). Call from the SA tonight to say that the vehicle has been built and he implied that it was on the back of a truck on it's way down to SoCal. I still don't see a VIN on my order page but the Source VIN matches the MVPA VIN at this point.

Thanks to all those who chimed in about the trade in cars and 1k mile limit...... sigh, this is kinda getting ridiculous to the point where I almost just wanna say forget it and cancel. I don’t want some rushed manufacturer botch job... @stewy001 that seems like a lot of issues, I’m afraid I won’t be able to notice it all... how long do they give you? I feel like they will be rushing the delivery process simply cuz so many appts to cram in... but thank you for the information and advice!

yeah, I work in medical office too, I have to go to work... so I traded with my mom whose commute is like 3 miles. As for the 30 day expiration, my SA talked to the trade in team who said they can extend my trade in value offer til Dec 31 as long as I keep it under 1000 miles. But honestly I can’t find that expiration date of 30 days anywhere on the site, I only know cuz I took a screenshot of my trade in offer and it said “this valuation expired 30 days from the offer date” but I realized later, doesn’t that just mean I needed to accept the trade in offer within 30 days, that’s all? So... I dunno whatever the trade in team is saying. I hope your car's re-valuation doesn’t drop too much!

Their code better be something like: (deliveryDate < maxMonth) and not (deliveryDate <= maxMonth) *prays*

Finally got a vin to show up today (ordered 12/2) an I have the same "Estimated delivery","minMonth":"Jan.","minYear":"'20" but my SA says delivery before end of year is likely. Here is hoping, but I know there are tons of people who have been waiting far longer than me and they should get theirs first.

Fingers crossed.

It looks like the website says only CA delivery now within 2 weeks. I also heard last 2 weeks will be CA Delivery only as they are trying to fulfil the orders who have already placed. Hope this is true.

California orders placed today will be available for delivery by 12/31. For customers ordering from rest of US and looking to take delivery by the end of the year, visit a store or view available inventory.
