With a lot of us in Canada excited about taking delivery of our Model 3s in late May/early June, I thought I'd create a thread about this important aspect of the process. I found checklist link sort of buried in another thread so thank you to whoever made it!

Pre-Acceptance Inspection Items
Check these items before accepting delivery. They are indicative of possibly major manufacturing defects or present a safety issue for the drive home.
-VIN matches paperwork
-Trunk aligned properly without significant panel gaps
-Odometer <= 50 miles (80 km)
-Fender aligned properly without significant panel gaps
-Wheels are free of scrapes (e.g., from loading / unloading)
-Windows automatically lower/raise slightly when opening/closing the door
-Underside and jack points free of scrapes and damage (e.g., from loading / unloading)
-Doors open and close properly
-Turn signals functional
-Trunk opens and closes properly
-Brake lights functional
-Frunk opens and closes properly
-Back-up camera is functional
Inspection Items Requiring Note at Delivery Time
Check these items before accepting delivery. While these can most likely be serviced at a later time, it may be important to note that it was present at delivery time and not caused by the owner post-delivery.
-Valve stem covers present on all four (4) wheels
-Dash is clear of scuffs / marks
-Windshield free of cracks (e.g., where meets roof)
-Door trim panels are properly aligned
-Vanity mirrors free of cracks
-Hood aligned properly without significant panel gaps
-Body panels free of dents
-Dash free of residue / fading tattoo (e.g., from paperwork + sun)
-Front license plate bracket installed (if applicable)
-Exterior paint free of wrinkling / scratches. Check with bright flashlight.
-Seats are free of tears, smudges, and paint stains
-Center console free of scratches
-Rear window glass undistorted
-Main display screen protector is removed and screen is free of scratches
-Textile headliner free of dirty smudges
-Take photos / videos to record delivery condition
Post-Delivery Inspection Items
Check these items when you get home. These can be taken care of at a future service center visit.
-All speakers are functional (including subwoofer). Shift balance in UI to verify.
-Air conditioner functional
-Main display free of significant dead pixels
-Heater functional
-Both key cards unlock door when “B” pillar is tapped
-Window motors/control functional
-Charge port door sits flush with tail light
-Seat adjustments functional
-Rear tail lights are free of condensation
-Floor mats installed
-Lightning and USB charger cables installed
-Frunk mat installed
