is it random whether you get USB-C or MicroUSB? (and always get a lighting?)

It's just speculation, but my guess is that now that USB-C is common, that's what's exclusively provided. That's what came with my Model 3 , along with the Lightning cable, delivered on July 10.

I heard that when you take delivery, you can just ask them to swap out one of the cables. It's a YMMV (your mileage may vary) situation, but I couldn't see why they wouldn't honor your request.

Picked up my M3 July 10th. It came with a C and the Lightning. The C works w/ my OnePlus phone but I want a USB micro for the passenger's side. I took a chance and ordered a right-angle micro from Amazon, thinking I might save a buck. I lost that gamble; it won't fit. So, still have the Lightning and would like to trade for the right micro that fits properly.

Did you buy the same RAYSUN 2-pack that I did, which was recommended on another TMC thread?

Nope, I just bought a single that didn't fit. At least it was only 4 bucks. Did your Raysun work??

No, the Raysun cable is too large, as is the molded head on the micro USB plug. I'm guessing only the Tesla ones will fit.
