Hello - Can anyone please share insights on what costs they had to bear (be liable for) on returning the Tesla M3 within 7 days/1000 miles. Did you had to forfeit the $1200 destination and handling or just the title, tags and corresponding taxes? Thanks much.

You don’t forfeit anything. The entire amount is returned. You never pay taxes on an item that you did not keep. It’s no different than returning a shirt to a department store. Your only exposure is generally having to wait up to 60 days to get a refund check in the mail. If you have a loan on the car your bank will require that you make payments on the loan until Tesla issues the bank a refund. So you may be out some interest on your bank loan. But that should be it.

I read somewhere the DMV registration fees are what you take a loss on...not sure if that's true, but that's just what I heard.

Yeah, DMV does not do refunds

I bought a vehicle, paid renewal vehicle/vessel registration fees, then returned the vehicle/vessel to the owner. Can the renewal fees paid be returned to me?
You need to complete a Statement of Facts indicating when renewal fees were paid, and submit with an Application for Refund.
Note: If fees paid were due, the refund will be denied. Fees remain with the vehicle, not the person paying the fees

Weird. I got my license plate in four days.

Did you get any paperwork or understanding from them on what’ll get deducted vs not & eta on refund?
