Model 3 Return for Exchange

Hi there!
I took the delivery of my brand new Model 3 just a couple days ago. It is Mid Range model.
It is well under the 7 days return policy.
I realized that I would be better off with Long Range instead looking at my usage and needs.
I don't want to just return the car for money back but I need another car with Long Range instead.
I also have a loan on it.

Do you guys know how should I go about it?

I think you should talk to someone at Tesla as soon as possible.

(I know that's not very helpful, but only they can give you an answer and it's time sensitive)

I tried to do an exchange SR+ for SR+, my 1st one had a defective touchscreen. They had it in inventory stock, at that exact location, but after some thought they would not do it. Told me I can order and pay for another one, take delivery that day, and needed to wait on refund on 1st return vehicle. Also I read somewhere on the Return policy that they won’t do exchanges.
But by all means, talk to your Tesla rep, maybe you’ll get lucky.

From what I have seen on this forum.
The only way is to Return the car and Place a new order.

Yea, you’re not buying a pair jeans so I would certainly hope Tesla wouldn’t entertain the idea of performing exchanges...
