Model 3 spoiler copy

Sure.

I know the pics aren’t great but it truly is flawless. I parked next to a P3+ at Costco just to see them side by side. Other than mine being gloss they looked identical.

Just know I bought a different one on ebay with a similar description first and it was garbage. They refunded me and didn’t even ask me to ship it back.
Any advice on how to spot the garbage ones vs. good ones? I'd go with the one you bought but shipping to Canada is crazy on that one.

Mine arrives on Wednesday. Once installed I will drive by Tesla and compare it to the performance spoiler from the factory.

I ended up buying it last week for the hell of it. It arrived yesterday and despite never seeing an OEM one in person I was quite pleased. It comes nice packaged with masking tape, alcohol wipes, and adhesion promoter.

I measured out 5" from each side of the trunk edge, put down some masking tape, used some Adams Polishes surface prep that I had to clean the existing wax off, heated up the adhesive for a few minutes as it was maybe 50deg in the garage, applied the adhesion promoter, aligned it the best I could and stuck it on. I did end up with a gap between the trunk lid and the spoiler. In hindsight, I should have paid a little more attention, but I think it looks OK. After it was in place, I made sure it was nice and snug and put on some masking tape to hold it in place over night.

So far it's held up to the cold weather and the drive to work.

I know nothing about spoilers. Is this attached with an adhesive? Doesn't that fall off?

Yes, its 3M automotive adhesive. Assuming the part you are attaching (in this case the spoiler) is the correct shape and the adhesive is applied correctly, it should stay attached for a long time.

This is precisely the issue with the OEM Tesla spoilers. The shape is mismatched and the ends of the spoiler end up pulling away from the trunk lid.

Anyone give this a try yet: https://www.amazon.com/SUMK-Perform...4?keywords=sumk+model+3&qid=1574450042&sr=8-4

Seems to be a pretty close copy the OEM.
If you’re on the fence about this one, buy it! I didn’t want to wait for RPM so I pulled the trigger on this one and no regrets. It’s an exact replica of OEM. The material is real carbon fiber with a matte finish. Installation was simple and pretty straight forward. Once mounted, edges sits flush. Highly recommended!

I pulled the trigger but not before it ascended in price to $199!
delivery shows a longer wait, DEC 23rd although it did show
10 unit in stock when I ordered @ higher price!

I want to match body color, so given that fit is easy & flush
and the price is right, I'm comfortable in playing with this one,
and if I can get the finish to stay mat but matched to body
color, then I think it will be quite striking, as we all know the
aero likely isn't a plus given the low average speed street
cars endure!

Shoot what gaps? There are no gaps, fitment is perfect. It's matte as mentioned in the link. Its the same as the oem performance spoiler. Not much else to say about it.....

sorry, just looking for close up shots at the joining
of the carbon edges to top/bottom & tapered sides
at how flush this one is given the above shots aren't
close ups, that's what I was asking?

debating between the following 2 that both seem to claim full carbon fiber. anyone got either and if so how is it? hoping to get as close to oem style as possible but dont care btw matt and glossy.

1.
For 2017-2020 Tesla Model-3 OE-Style Real Carbon Fiber Rear Trunk Spoiler Wing | eBay
2.
LUCKEASY For Tesla Model 3 Car High performance carbon fiber trunk wing spoiler | eBay

note this luckyeasy one has a cheaper 99 version which they state is ABS and this above one they say carbon fiber in the listing.
