It seems the Model 3 SR+ is the only model with a 32A OBC. Quite a disservice to the community. Tesla should simplify it by just offering 48A across all vehicles. Limiting the car to 32A means the person will tie up the Destination Chargers 50% longer, if trying to get to a specific SOC.

No, it doesnt. The battery is smaller, so the actual amount of time charging is very similar.

That’s assuming people are charging to a specific percentage rather than trying to get a specific amount of range back to. If someone needs to gain an extra 100 miles, they’ll take about 2 hours on a 48A car and about 3 hours on a 32A car (assuming 240v and the charger can support the max current)

My point is really that Tesla should either make them all the same
OR
eliminate the OBC from the Standard Range models and start selling DC wall chargers.

IMHO, OBC is just extra weight so either make it worthwhile or get rid of it. Even better, offer Bi-directional DC chargers! Million mile battery should not skimp on offering V2G feature.
