Model S Center console

I took my car in for repairs at a local caliber collision to fix the rear drivers side quarter panel and the back bumper and I just received after 2 months because both had to be replaced. I was keeping track with it while it was in the shop and I was noticing that the mileage was the same but the battery was 145 one day and then it was 70 the next. My wife and I started to wonder if the battery was giving out.
However after driving around tonight, I found that the part of the center console where I usually put my phone, was missing and 2 wires that appeared to be female connections of some sort was dangling from under the touch screen.
Is there any reason at all why the technicians should have been in the console? Does anybody know what the wires are for? Do you think that the mileage was tampered with?
