Back to Team Blank todayI’m now back to Team October. Bye bye Team Blank
Holy crap, it did!!!!And the price for the LR S and X just went up $5k each
It seems at say $90K, they are trying to get closer to a base price of say Audi eTron with ~300 miles of range, bit more luxury in a way, etc, without going too high/over it. The eTron seems to go for about $109K with average package, larger battery, and a nice finish out (but it gets the $7500 tax credit still). We'll see if this is the last increase... probably not.Holy crap, it did!!!!
When I ordered I thought based on everything else out there, even with $7500 tax credit that the model S LR was the best deal. That last $5k moves it very close to not being the best deal anymore. They must really have to curb the order flow as supply is challenged. It seems at say $90K, they are trying to get closer to a base price of say Audi eTron with ~300 miles of range, bit more luxury in a way, etc, without going too high/over it. porsche is known for its $$$ options, base price is less relevantA base-model Taycan is now cheaper. Not sure that's a position Tesla wants to be in.
No, you have locked in your price unless you make configurations changes (paint, interior, rims, etc.).I ordered on 7/11, Oct delivery (but it is not showing on my screen today....it comes and goes)
Q: With the price increase today, does that impact existing orders?
Good to hear. Thank you.No, you have locked in your price unless you make configurations changes (paint, interior, rims, etc.).
Not when it comes to headlinesporsche is known for its $$$ options, base price is less relevant
Model S is larger, much higher range, and faster. Higher price is not at all unreasonable. Not when it comes to headlines
Including removing or adding FSD (which is ridiculous IMO)No, you have locked in your price unless you make configurations changes (paint, interior, rims, etc.).

I can't get in a Taycan and do a 1000 trip in a reasonable amount of time.A base-model Taycan is now cheaper. Not sure that's a position Tesla wants to be in.
I'm sure it just comes down to supply and demand.Did Tesla raise the price just to make sure the existing orders will be not cancelled?
