I got tired of items like my glasses flying out of the center console shelf under the tablet because there is no lip to stop this. I found that a half jewelry display tray fits fairly well and with a couple of 3M double sided mounting squares stays put unless I want to take it out.
The tray is 8¼"L x 7¼"W x 1"D black fake leatherette. Made in China and only $1.28 but shipping was about $8. It sticks out a couple inches and isn't an exact fit but it holds things in the shelf now even if I accelerate really fast or have to brake fast.
