While reservations are going well they will not reach 10,000 in 2013...unless...there is an announcement indicating the X is going into production in early/mid 2014 versus late 2014/early 2015

Wanna bet? We are just shy of 8,000 based on reported reservations up to 10/2. If the average stays up anywhere near 20-30 per day that we've been seeing then the remaining 91 days of this year could easily push the total over 10k by year end.

Give another 2 weeks, It would be interesting to do a study on the reservation rate after the fire incident to see any impact.

Ordered a Model X for my wife also but won't have the sequence number until Monday according to TESLA

I saw a vanity plate on a Jaguar X type that said X WIFE
Asked my wife if she would like that also but she reminded me it was taken. :redface:

Is there a graph posted somewhere that shows X reservations over time? I wonder if we'll see a spike from the Palo Alto store opening event. Bay Area is quite a hot market for Tesla...
