Has anyone put 18s on a long range Y? I’d like to go down to 18 for my winter wheel set up
@DenverEV, did you end up doing this? I'm considering going down to 18s too on a long range. Besides general ride quality, I was thinking about doing Geolandar A/T G015s in 235/55R18, which meet the load rating but not quite the speed rating. I'm want to have something a little safer on dirt & gravel given the lack of spare, but there aren't a lot of choices for 19" wheels.

Has anyone done 235 width for the whole year, not just winter?

Still looking for a good 18" wheel choice, given the mixed feedback on the Martians on other threads. Tirerack doesn't make load ratings clear for most of what they recommend.

I have 18's on my LR for my snow set up. Works great. The diameter is 0.6" taller, so the speedo is slightly off but > 1 mph so it doesn't really matter. No issues with TPMS (I have Tesla TPMS sensors).
What tires and size did you use on the 18s? I'm thinking about 235/55R18 (increases diameter 0.2" from the 19" oem) or 255/55R18 (increase diameter 1"). I'm planning that for summer as well as winter though.

TS5 21x9.5 front (28.95lbs) / 21x10.5 (30.05lbs) rear in Satin Black, 23% lighter than an Uberturbine 21" (front/rear combined average weight)
Flow Forged Construction
Accepts factory lug nut and factory Tesla black Center Cap (6005879-04-A)
Factory Pirelli P Zero 255/35/21 front, 275/35/21 rear
Xpel Stealth paint protection film on all body panels & trim including fender arches, rocker panels and rear diffuser.

245/55/18 Blizzak LM-32's.

I was looking at 235/55R18 as well. They seem to be a closer diameter to the 19" OE. also cheaper LOL.

Anyone running 235/55R18 for winters?

This is exactly what im trying to decide...i also want to run them year round. Leaning towards the 255/55r18s on 18" model 3 wheels. Im fairly confident they will fit fine, have you seen anything saying otherwise at all?

if you have geminis before spending thousands, know that you have a nice set of wheels hiding behind those aero covers, all it took was a $90 hyperdip wheel kit, and $20 lug nuts center cap set from amazon and 5 hours or so of work.. most of which is spent waiting for coat to dry.

That came out great! Which color hyper dip did you use? How many coats? Did you have to peel overspray from tires? Can you include link to lug nut and center cap? Thanks.

I *think* that will fit, but the Model 3 wheels don't have a high enough load rating, per some other folks here.

I ended up doing 255/55R18. Here's an after pic. This is TSW Pescara 18X8.5 / 30 offset wheels & Scorpion Verde All Season Plus II 255/55R18 109V tires. The total diameter increased from 28" to 29", so my speedometer should be off by ~3.6%.

I also added the small lift from Mountain Pass Performance, so overall my clearance went from 6.6 + 1.75 (lift) + 0.5 (more tire) = 8.85, which is enough to get to my garage without scraping! The tires fit fine, but the lift may have helped with that.

The ride is much less jarring with an extra inch of sidewall. I haven't noticed much range difference, but I only had a couple hundred miles on the car before swapping, so I wouldn't really know. It's usually around 250-280 Wh/mi.
