I got a notice saying that because of Tesla Vision, that FSD will not be available. Is "FSDb" a different variant of FSD?

FSD 11.4.4 currently inside base code of the vehicle 2023.38.X code is considered main branch or plain FSD

FSD 11.4.7/8+ inside main code 2023.27.X is beta
A subset of drivers have access to this
This is where post internal testing of FSD graduates to
(Them mature features move to 11.4.4)
Tesla has not joined the two groups to one version of FSD
Next gen FSD is supposed to be the joined code
Regardless, pay the $199 for a month of FSD
It’s worth a try
My next rental of FSD will be when I can have access to v12

For US-built, yes. For China-built, still HW3. Likely to change over there for 2024 builds.

I just picked up a Model X and the same thing is seen there... All VIN's assigned are still 2023. Tesla may have gone back to their old process of assigning VIN year based on calendar date of manufacture. If that is the case then we wont see any 2024 VIN's until shortly after 1/1/2024.

I was also assigned 2023 last night when opting to wait for a new build. Will probably do the 14 day hold and see if that does the trick.

I'm glad I got one of the last 2023 VINs. Insurance and registration are both less going forward for the same vehicle.
I ordered my model y and got it 26/10/2023 and my vin says R=2024? Europe car, berlin build rwd. In app service tickets its also listed year 2024.

Asked if 2024 VINs were being delivered yet. This is what I got back.
Okay, maybe they messed up something on my part in might have 2023 VIN, but these documents say year 2024. And tenth digit is R. But after all, makes zero difference for me.
