Also, I suspect that things could get more complicated in the "you must drive in autopilot" department.
Maybe a breathalyzer reading determines if you are permitted to drive yourself or not.
If the car thinks you look too tired, it insists on taking over.
One more point on your driving record and you can only "be driven" by your car.
Beyond some age, the car only lets you drive in daylight in good conditions.
...etc...

Insurance rates might vary based on how good the self driving system is in your car.
(Better AI gets "good driver discount")

Great talk, I can honestly recommend anyone to spend 10 mins watching it.

What a great way to commit murder. Have ten mannequins on a spring-loaded cart dart out in front of a self-driving car carrying the victim. No, I would never use a car programmed to sacrifice the occupants under any circumstances.
