My forever-changing vehicle config...

Hello,

Just thought I'd share my experience with Tesla's forever-changing vehicle design sheet. I placed an order at the tail end of May and ended up with the following design spec:

Then, a few weeks later (23rd July), I checked it after having found out about the spec changes (really annoyed to have missed out on air suspension given I live out in the boonies, but such is life) and found that one row had been deleted (the multi-pattern black seats) and a £4800 discount applied - thank you Tesla!

Checked again just now, and things have been rearranged again:

I appear to not only have lost my premium sound and winter pack, but that the numbers no longer add up. Assuming this is all part of the fun, but I'm now not sure how the car I ordered and the car I'll receive will compare :-D I'm sure they'll make it right, but is this usual?

All this aside, my car's been making its way from the factory to the port for over a month now (it had a twenty-somethingth of June) build date. I know the USA is a big place, but Fremont to Houston can't take that long, can it?

Cheers!

On new builds premium sound and the winter pack have been rolled into the premium upgrade pack, so it's possible your car will have them anyway - just not showing as separate options anymore.
Yep, was guessing this as it was being written. Too bad it's not spelled out with the fluid nature of the options, like the 'missing' 100 Amp charger for the USA 100kWh batteries....

This is especially likely with the showroom discount being 'added'!

Nope :-(

options=DRRH,FG02,MI01,PI01,COL2-PPSB,RFFG,TP03,WTAS

The "view design" link has BTX5, so I guess I'm a real (so to speak) 75kWh pack. Do have DU00 though, so hopefully it'll be uncorked even without the larger pack :-D

Even if I'm the unluckiest customer in the world and end up with an uncorkable 75D, I'm still going to be disproportionately happy with it!

Correction - I meant corked - or rather un-uncorkable!

Also, my build date was also only a week or so after yours (assuming the My Tesla info was keeping up) so unless there's a thing with regards to final assemby in Tilburg where they decide to give it an 85kWh pack (they do attach the drive units and battery there, don't they?) then it'll almost certainly be the same as yours - DU00 with BTX5 75kWh pack...

Estimated Tilburg arrival date is ~14th August according to my delivery specialist, and actual delivery in early September, so we'll see what the bi-continental build-process-roulette brings :-D
