So I was walking down the street, talking on the phone with my son in California. My wife happened to drive down the same street in the opposite direction in our Model 3. Just as we were waving hello to each other, my call with my son suddenly dropped. My wife's experience of that same moment was that suddenly she could hear my son and me on the car stereo. That lasted just a second or two and then it stopped for her.

Obviously the Bluetooth is so good that it was able to pick up my phone call when at a relative speed of perhaps 30mph, and hold it briefly until she got too far away.

Mostly this amused me. But I wonder if maybe it shouldn't automatically transfer a call to the sound system under certain circumstances.

Quite an edge case, but interesting nonetheless! With BMWs, I just hope it connects properly when I am sitting in the car. It’s about a 50/50 shot. With my Model 3, no issues so far.

LOL this happens all the time with multiple bluetooth connections.

I was out riding the motorcycle and Discovered I was behind my wife in her pathfinder in traffic when My helmet intercom beeped, and started playing the lady gaga theme song from star is born lol

My phone is the priority phone and always reconnects when in range. When my daughter puts music on in the car with her phone it automatically reverts back to mine if I go out of range and then back in if I run into a store or something like that.

Yes, though the car connects less reliably with hers than mine for whatever reason. And on a short errand into town, I doubt she bothered to even check whether it had connected.
