Need help opening frunk in 2016 with dead 12V

^ that's ridiculous. Why would they get rid of something as simple as the handle under the glovebox.

Same reason a 2006 Civic has a keyed option on the floor next to the hood release to disable the trunk. Security.

Having that frunk opening handle would make redundant the valet option which disables the frunk from opening on the touchscreen.

What they could have done is put the handle in the glovebox, and then have the valet option disable the glovebox access. Hey, that is a good idea!

...Insert left hand below the wire loom and reach up to find the horizontal release cable.


Follow the cable to the right until you reach the metal piece it is attached to.
Continue going to the right until you feel the edge of the metal.

that thing is crazy hard to find. I thought it was a hose or wire. But nope. It’s there. Very frustrating that Tesla made such drastic changes of all these secret pulls. Each one seeming more difficult to find and operate. Oh well, the frunk is open and the 12v is out (that was another fun process). Thanks for everyone’s help.
