Did this exact thing for carbon fiber sliding cover for my S. Speak to service and they’ll both order and install it, if needed. They got part in about 2 weeks and installed it during some other work for free, though according to other people who had this done this was a courtesy not an expectation.

Yes, presuming you own the car, as they tie to VIN. This may have changed now, since the online catalog though there are many derivations of parts that may mean any derivations may not be comprehended if you don’t supply vin.
I’m not sure. I’ve never tried to order parts from Tesla. It’s probably best to just call the service center and talk to them about ordering/install options
