One thing for people who travel alot to know if they don't realize it is that RV parks will typically have NEMA 14-50 outlets. You can go on Plugshare and set the filter to only show NEMA 14-50 outlets and see where they are listed. Great charging resource if you haven't checked this site out.

Tesla 14-50 adapter out of stock again...

There's a few on eBay but they're pretty overpriced. My first call would be the service centers to see if they have any in stock.
As a backup, I see you're in Silver Spring. I'm in NE DC, you are welcome to borrow mine until you can order one from Tesla. I have an HPWC so I don't need it routinely. PM me if I can help and congrats on the purchase.
Another option - if you haven't had a 14-50 installed yet, have a 6-50 installed instead. That adapter is in stock. It may save a little bit of money on the install as a neutral wire is not required for a 6-50. There is no difference in charging speed.

I spoke too soon. Although I received an email saying it shipped, upon further review they only printed the FedEx label. They never shipped it to me.
They were sold out at the local delivery center today, too.
Thankfully they delivered with a good charge level. My daily average is under 20 miles so I can live with 120v/12a for a while.
I ran into same problem during my May delivery. Out of stock online. I ended up getting mine from Tesla location. The nearest one didn’t have any. But the next closest one did. So if you are near some Tesla locations, call them and see. You need to call each one separately as they can’t see what each other have.
I ordered this past Monday after getting a back in stock email. No action on shipping yet. Called the service center and they don’t have any in stock and they said they are filling customer web orders before restocking the service centers. They also said that even though it says normal processing time is 2-3 weeks they are getting adapters out faster than that.
Sounds good, except their web page will not let you place an order since they are out of stock.
How did you sign up for the "back in stock" email ?
They used to have a very obvious option on the page once you selected an out of stock item. It seems to be gone now - that's a strange feature to remove!
The 14-50 is now back in stock! Looks like the removal of the alert option was a prelude to restocking.
As of yesterday, both locations in the Phoenix metro were out of stock. As you said, definitely worth a call before Making the drive

My adaptor was invoice on 5-26 with an estimated delivery date of Monday the 3rd. FedEx label was created on 5-26 and was never updated. I have emailed them twice without a response. Not sure why this is so difficult for them...

Strange. Mine shipped the next day, and took 5 or so days to reach me in Nashville.
