New car - governor set at 85 !

I have a new model S and noticed it will not go above 85MPH. (attempted on a test track of course). It must have a governor setting. How can this be removed? I read that Tesla has this on their loaner cars but it should be the owner's choice not Tesla's.

Was it an inventory vehicle. Sometimes they forget to turn off limiters.

Yes, it sounds like it is still in demo mode. Take a trip to the SC and I am sure they can fix that rather quickly...

Yes, they can absolutely fix this remotely. No need to go to a service center. They merely forgot to remove the limitation.
