Oh interesting, I thought the point of going to solve rain using vision was for future planning with the push towards FSD, not necessarily saving cost for a small device. If this is true I guess it would argue against that point.

I’ll have to check my M3 when I get home to look for that device.
 
Rear fog lights are usually a mandatory requirement in the EU. That's a compliance thing more than anything.

Yep, it's present on my BMW, but the button is paneled off. A quick snip of some plastic allows the button to depress (blank button with no icon). Rear fog lights work wonderfully for preventing accidents in heavy fog and also for encouraging tailgaters back off :)

Do we know if the actual rear fog light bulbs are present and just not used?
