Highland Blind spot indicator on A pillar?

I was watching a Highland M3 review done in Austria when I noticed a light on the A-pillar light up when the tester hit the turn signal button in traffic. There are lots of ICE vehicles with this feature to warn the driver there is a car in his blind spot, but I hadn't seen any mention of it on the new M3.

Anyone know if this is on the coming USA version, or it just a European feature?

Actually that was one of the earliest features people noticed and pointed out:

I don't see any reason why it wouldn't be in the Highland when it reaches US.
