What I hope Tesla will reconsider is making heated steering a $5,000, or $6,000 item, for people who don't wish for XM, more speakers or the better cabin filter. As a northern customer, I'd feel targeted even if this weren't such a good thing to have in an EV.

Not throwing 10's of watts at steering wheels & seats, makes it more likely people will call on 1000's of watts from their cabin heaters. That hurts range, and can also be seen as less sustainable.

Did prices change *again* for the interiors? I thought it was $3000 USD for the upgrades. Now (as of a day or so ago?) it's $3300.

Edit: Semi-nevermind.. I looked back at my own link to the Electrek article on the switch to the new material, and it was 3300 then, also... don't know if it happened at the switch to 'non-leather' for all colors or what...

Sure is hard to keep track of the fluid option changes!

Hmmm, more I look at the "Cream" online, the more I may want to order it. Has anybody seen this in the field yet? I guess it may not appear until August/September when the new cars roll off of the line. Sorta frustrating, as I was all set on white, but I am kinda digging the lighter/cream overall interior.

Question: Can somebody tell me if the seating material is the same across all colors now? I know it's probably posted somewhere, but this forum is too large to keep up. Or do we not know yet?

It is supposed to be the same material, white, cream, black according to Tesla personnel. I've got my OA in Tyson's here in Virginia letting me know when a new X shows up with the folding 7 seats and the new material. I also want to see how the cream and/or black look, as the renders look a lot better than the old tan leather did.

Still didn't get a reply from my delivery specialist, he's on vacation, but the spec sheet looks different now.
Bad news, it looks like my black leather option is gone.
Good news, I guess I get other features that are standard now.

Delivery Specialist finally got back to me and said that whatever I ordered back in June is what I will be getting. So the features that are considered standard now won't be in my order (ie. LED light etc.)
