Newbie asks: What is the current status of self-driving?

What will you do in 7 years if you never got FSD? I ask because I seriously doubt you will.

I'd just continue to drive the 2017 model while waiting for FSD.

Only get it you want to give $3k to Tesla to help it with its cash problems.

Or if you want to hedge against paying $4k later and possibly more if it turns out that additional hardware is required.

Was just checking out an X configuration (dreaming). Not sure when it happened (or if it did), but I think Tesla updated the FSD verbiage. Now mentions self connecting Supercharges and the twice as safe as normal drivers metric Elon mentioned at SXSW.
