What is the security setting on your router, Roy? I have to turn off security on my Orbi mesh router before I can connect to the car to download updates. It will not connect with WPA/WPA2-Personal security enabled. However, since the Wall Charger should be set to WPA2, I wonder if the car will only work with WPA2? WPA3 would be preferred but I cannot connect with that setting either.
From my experience the wall charger won't connect with WPA2/WPA3 enabled. WPA2 only. Two different access points with the same result. I set up a separate SSID/network with 2.4 GHz radio and WPA2 only. No problem.

As far as the car goes. My 2021 SR+ is not fussy. It connects just fine to my main network which has auto radio and WPA2/WPA3 capability. I have also found the car will automatically switch radio depending on signal strength. As it should.
