Not Happy with Detailing Job. Am I being picky?

Went to a place in the GTA. Wasn’t happy but am not sure if I’m expecting too much. Dirt and sand still visible in the carpets. Things clearly not wiped down. Rear seat vents clearly not touched and show dust and other crap from over the winter. Same with inside of the doors. I guess for $400 I was expecting to say ‘oh wow’ not think I should have did it myself on Sunday.

I didn’t post the name of the place in the event I am expecting too much. I’ve had other cars detailed and was awfully impressed. This is pretty meh to me.

Pics taken an hour after I picked it up. Looks good at a glance I guess.

Ouch $400? I bet you could have done just as good of a job with a little time spent on Sat/Sun for sure. Portable vac, microfibre cloth and some interior cleaning supplies, you’d be good.

In fairness they also did an exterior wash. The package I went with describes it as a complete restoration to showroom condition that takes 3-5 hours. That is $199. The wash is $119. It was $397 total with tax and tip. Man I wish I hadn’t tipped. So in fairness I misstated that the job was $400. It was $199 plus tax and tip.
