older cars kept around 50-60% SoC - how is degradation?

I keep mine on the low side and timed pretty well charging so that I am at 50% overnight, charging say 3-5 AM and make it home around 50%.
70D 5/15 build. 240 original, 222 now? Varies every time I charge to 100%. I usually say 8% degradation.

2016 S85D. Took delivery in March, 2016, 72k on the odometer. I rarely charge over 70%, less than 5X a year and most days only charge to 50% or less. Rated miles new were 270, current range charge (just did one two weeks ago) is 262. I did see 275 on a range charge when the car had less than 10k on the odometer. If you use the 270, it is about 3% degradation. It is just under 5% using 275.

That's exactly what I was looking for. Since 50% is theoretically better for the battery, and I typically only burn 10-15% in a day, I've been keeping it there and charging higher just prior to road trips.

Have you charged higher recently for calibration purposes? My guess is the 275 rating was a calibration error.

2014 P85+, 86k miles. CPO bought 12/2016 w/ 29k miles. When I got the car, it showed 261 @ 100%. Currently I'm at 228-229 @ 90%, 254 @ 100%, so a bit over 4% degradation.

I generally charge to 70% daily, with a 90% charge the night before a roadtrip (1-2 times/month). I will top off to 100% occasionally 2 hours before departure.

I don't know how the battery was treated by the prior owner.

I don't think it was. Rarely have I seen the car differ from the top rated miles. For example, at 262 a 50% charge gives me 131. Sometimes I will get a 130 and once in a blue moon I will see 129. When it was new I used to see 136 on a 50% charge and 138 when range mode was on. I take a phone screenshot every time I max charge it and I have the 275 someplace. Some time later it was 272, then 270, then 267, etc. Again, I only charge it up there once or twice a year and it has never sat at that high level of charge. Most of the loss in range happened after the "batterygate" software update and it happened gradually, over about 15k miles.
