Option to make AWD m3’s into front or rear wd

Wouldn’t it be a cool option to if you could turn off AWD on the screen and choose front or rear wheel drive?

I’m no expert but it seems this would be possible and just a matter of software changes.

Why would you want this (what do you think the point of this would be)? I guess one point would be for someone in an AWD car to get RWD range if they "didnt need" those extra motors.. but that wouldnt happen because that AWD motor has weight so there would be less range...
