Ouch! Dented Fender

I reversed in difficult visibility conditions and backed into an SUV's bumper. The other car is fine, but mine isn't so fine. I thought that paintless dent removal could pull out the dent, but apparently it's more complicated than it appears.

Has anyone encountered damage like this, or have any suggestions for how to proceed? Can I bring it to a regular body shop, even though the body is aluminum?

I'd get another opinion from a PDR professional. I had similar damage involving the driver side quarter panel. It took a PDR guy about 8 hours to do. I had to take it to Tesla where they disconnected the charger port, power lines, etc. The lip around the wheel well has a difficult bend to repair.

Did your PDR guy say it couldn't be done or he couldn't do it?

Looks like it will need a repair either way.
