Overseas Model 3 unable to Navigate [car moved outside of country purchased]

Navigation is never going to work out of the purchase market. Liability regulatory reasons.

why? theres no reason why it shouldnt work or why you shouldnt be able to request map data for the country you are in (if tesla supplies those)

Maps work OK in Uruguay. Navigation to a destination does not show the route on the screen, it is grayed out. Tesla must support south american maps in order to work in my country. It is a shame because I have a wonderful screen on my tesla but I have to navigate using waze on my phone. I love the car anyway
