I took delivery of a MS 70D a couple weeks ago and throughout a few follow up appointments I have reason to believe that the car was damaged while at the store for service. Unfortunately I have no proof but Tesla has said they would look into the CCTV footage and I am in sporadic contact with the contacts there but nothing concrete yet. So far service has been a let down, compared to experiences with BMW, Acura and even Toyota. Not abysmal, but definitely not to the standards set by Elon. I understand it has been a busy time with the Model 3 launch and end of Q1 but let's just say that its been very trying.

The car on the other hand is a dream come true--as of yesterday I am also a Model 3 reservation holder. I just want it to be back to original condition so I can get on with my life.

Would appreciate any suggestions if other forum members have been in similar situations. The damage is cosmetic, but over $1000 to restore to factory condition.

I have much more (positive) impressions to report on but hoping to get this current issue out of the way first.

Here's my new 90D just back from the Opti-coat application.

Arthur's Detailing in Summerville SC did a flawless application.
And my thanks to Zack at the Decatur GA Center for his great handling of my delivery on March 25th.

Every time I get in this beastie I feel like I've transported years into the future!

Looks fantastic! Worth the wait!

I took delivery of my Model S85 about a week ago. It was an inventory car from Colorado.

2015 S85 RWD / Titanium / Tan Next Gen / Pano / Premium Lights / UHFS

3/14 - Ordered and confirmed
3/23 - Paperwork from Tesla arrived at my home via FedEx
4/1 - Delivery at my local service center

When I got my car, there were 5006 miles on the odometer. The Delivery Specialist called me on 3/30 to see if I could pick up my new car on 3/31. Unfortunately, I was out of town on a business trip and I told him the earliest I could pick it up would be 4/1. The car drives great, TACC and autopilot work like a champ. Like others have mentioned in the forums, I find myself volunteering to run errands just so I can be in the Model S. In one week of ownership, I've already gone on a road trip and drove over 1000 miles since the car was delivered. A couple of pictures from delivery day are included below.

Congrats on a gorgeous ride! I'm surprised you didn't volunteer to drive it home from Colorado! ;)

The thought did cross my mind several times during the 2+ week wait, plus I could save the $1500 transport fee. Logistically it didn't work out for me. I was busy with work and couldn't really take the time off. Waiting to place my order later wasn't an option either. I wanted a RWD car, and you can't order a new S85 or S90. Last time I checked the ev-cpo website the RWD 85 and 90 inventory cars were all gone. Now that I think of it, I guess I could have ordered it in mid March then scheduled a time later in April when I'm not so busy to pick it up. I would have saved the $1500 transport fee minus the cost of me traveling up there myself, but I wouldn't be able to stand the wait. I was having trouble concentrating on work those last two weeks of March waiting for the car to be delivered. :)

After 4 agonizing weeks, I got my Model S today. Of course I didn't sleep the last 2 days after confirming my delivery appointment.
My DS in Austin TX was great, and took care of everything. I think I asked the least questions of all previous customers - thanks mostly to all the research I've gleaned from these forums.

Now, as many before me have said, all I want to do is drive or just be around the car.
