Paint defect or something else?

Has anyone else seen this? They are circular smudges, almost represent what a fingerprint would look like. Two were present on my rear right passenger door, and now there is a new one that appeared. Is this a defect in the paint or something else entirely?

-All in the same area of the car
-will not remove via washing/waxing etc...
-no one uses this side of the car
-car is 4 months old

Can anyone help?

Looks like maybe a burn from polishing but could be wrong. I'm in SJ too but i'm far from an expert.

They're what my detailer called nibs. Basically, factory found a paint defect, sanded it down and didn't bother to polish it out. Any sort of 1 stage paint correction will get that out.

I had similar blemishes that wer found within the first week. My SC (Raleigh, NC) took care of it when they had to do a few other things. there were no questions and it came out perfectly.

Giving the service center a ring doesn't hurt. The fact that the car is already 4 months old might be an issue though, maybe they'll do a courtesy fix.

Thanks guys, I made a service center appt will see what they say. I can’t see the service center saying that it’s not a paint issue? Heck, I’ve barely touched the paint, let alone have no idea to create marks like that if I wanted to.
