passenger seat has heat on without passenger

Does anyone else find the passenger seat, being void of passenger, has the heated seat on (seat set on auto)
Is this normal?
I have nothing on the seat but at times I have some pieces of paper but nothing that should register as 'in use'.

It could be a sensor issue, but first I would reboot the car, if you have not already done so. If the seat heater option is on “auto” you can just turn it off.

Do you also have the option to set the temperature on the passenger side? This also should only be available when a passenger is in the seat.

Is the seat heater supposed to be off if no one is sitting there? The manual doesn’t say so.

If the seat heater is set to auto then yes, it should be off if the car is awake. If it is set to on, then no.

I didn't reboot. I wanted to video record it for service tech but the issue has not pop up since this post so my car must be reading the message board.
