I’ve been waiting since 7/31 and don’t have a VIN, I’m about ready to give up. My car is MSM with white interior, P3D+. When I’ve asked, all they say is “2 weeks was just an estimate” and ask if I want an inventory (test drive) car instead.

My fiancé and I have been carpooling for 3 weeks now and it’s not fair to her to ask to share her car with no end in sight. Also this experience has left a pretty sour taste in my mouth and I’m not sure I want to spend $60k with Tesla any more. Considering just getting a used Honda and waiting for Tesla to get their act together in another year or two. Very frustrated.

I feel this. My car got totaled in a rear end back in July. Ordered a White/White P3D+ on August 3rd and my salesperson and everyone at Tesla kept reassuring me that I’d have the car within two weeks being located in Southern California.

I have a 68 mile/day round trip commute and it’s really interfering with mine/my friends and family’s lives having to carpool with/get rides/take Uber’s everywhere that I have to go and it feels like there’s no end in sight on this delivery.

Got the 5-6 week estimate text on Saturday which puts me at the end of September/beginning of October, which is a 2 month wait to delivery not 2 weeks...

I also totaled my car and ordered my white/black performance on Aug 3 (the only good to come out of this is that insurance gave me $6k more than Tesla offered). Got a message for 3-4 more weeks.

Currently carless. Luckily I live in chicago and have access to good mass transit.

I’d switch to blue if I could get it faster. Does anyone know if that’s an option?

Order secured. White/white performance ordered 8/24. I’m told patience is a virtue now...

No matter how slow it is for delivery, it will be way faster and massively less painful than the wait I had for my BMW M3 and European delivery experience. I ordered in May, drove the car in Germany for a few days in November, then finally received it at home at the end of January the following year, eight months from the order date.
Congratulations!!

When I was a kid, Dad took us to Germany to take factory delivery of a Mercedes. We toured Europe for three weeks afterward. Was an amazing experience. Dad then had the car delivered by Eastern Airlines to New York where we met back up with the car, and drove it across the US back home to Utah.

I’d love to take factory delivery of my next Tesla, even though Fremont isn’t quite the same as a trip to Germany. ;)

Damn, sorry to hear that. I ordered the same configuration as you on 8/15. I was hoping I'd get an update soon but if you don't even have a VIN yet then I've probably got a long wait ahead of me lol.

You may get it quicker than white if there is an incoming inventory car from the next batch, but if there isnt an inventory car and they have to build one, youll go to the back of the line from what I understand

Something changed on my Manage page. Previously it had showed all steps completed and that it was processing. Today the Insurance part came back with a note that says...

"Contact your delivery specialist for more information if you wish to add your new Tesla prior to delivery day."

I checked the source code and I still don't see a VIN but if they have information that will allow me to pre-add the Tesla to my insurance then I must have a VIN getting assigned to me really soon.

Ordered my M3P white interior/white exterior 8/14/19( NO VIN). Talked to customer support this afternoon and confirmed they had a delay in production for M3P. He confirmed that first two weeks of September too be expecting deliveries that they will continue production to push out cars before end of Q3.
