Quick update, I saw VIN appear in source yesterday afternoon (9/18), this morning got a text to schedule appointment, which I did for 9/21 @ 11:30am at Fremont. My account page now says I can submit secure payment, which I'm going to do.

What's also nice is that they did NOT pull my credit again (Tesla through TD Auto Finance) and it appears as though the Fed's interest rate reduction has already been automatically applied.

8/7 order, MSM/Black/FSD, Fremont pickup.

Can you believe it? Fingers crossed the car checks out well. I am bringing the delivery check list with me and going to take my sweet ass time inspecting every inch of the vehicle.

Congrats! It looks like they've produced a bunch of MSM cars for the Bay Area recently. I've also seen a few pop up in inventory over the last day or so. I've got my fingers crossed that they'll move onto white soon.

Yes, it's about time. They are definitely crushing out Bay Area M3's now. I thought I wouldn't get a VIN until next week, but seems like they have a lot of orders to go through.

M3 Performance Black/White with FSD.

Not had a firm date but was told "should be end of October".
Baah.. of course, I can't find it now, but anyway...

I spend way too much time reading about Tesla. Somewhere out there on the 'net, there's a web page where a guy tracks the cargo ships carrying Teslas to their various destinations. If you can find that page, you'll be able to track the location of the boat carrying the next big shipment of vehicles for UK deliveries.

There were actually a few news stories about this a few weeks ago, as Tesla decided it would be both faster and cheaper to ship the cars across the US, and leave from the east cost of the US to travel across the pond, rather than shipping them from the west coast and having to travel through the Panama canal.

Makes sense as the quarter nears the end. Producing and delivering on the west coast has a shorter timeline. They prioritize international at the start of the quarter, then east coast, then Midwest, then west.

Me too with my white stealth, feel free to say hi. I'll be brandishing my calipers to measure the panel gaps. JK lol
I checked and the car is available today, so I'm going to pick it up this afternoon! Guess I'll need to stop somewhere to get a German-made caliper set, microscope, UV lights, and private investigator kit before I head to Fremont.

Edit: tomorrow morning because they need today to do a software update (I'm guessing FSD).

@thodgdon66 We are in the same boat - exactly. So, I wanted to let you know when I spoke to the Tempe delivery center yesterday, my car was already there. I had some trepidation regarding the "tentatively scheduled" part as well. So, yesterday late morning I called the center and was relieved to know it was already there. Heck, he said, "we could probably get it ready and you can pick it up later today!" Well, that doesn't work since I'm selling my current LR AWD on Friday (30 minutes before my M3P delivery!). I've waited this long, so I can wait until Friday as well. 10:30am is my scheduled delivery.

But, knowing that it's there (and I assume yours is too), we can omit any doubt that the delivery won't happen on the scheduled day/time.

We're so close!

YEAH!!!

8:19am text this morning:

“Reminder that your Model 3 delivery appointment is scheduled for 20/09/2019 from our Tempe location at 1:30pm. Please reply YES to confirm or NO if you need to reschedule”

I typed HELL YES as my reply. Hope it works. JK, took a half day off to help Wifey bond with her new M3...we’ll race home up the L101...

Have delivery checklist in hand and I’ll be going over the car carefully - their fault for making us wait so long.

Next Tuesday drop off car for tint and PPF front end at Cactus Tint on Raintree Dr., pickup Wednesday. These guys did a great job on my M3 Black/Black so taking second car to them too.

So while we wait for delivery, what are you all naming your cars?
Please include color.
W/W — The Bandit... wrong color I know, but who didn’t want that Trans Am in the 70s?

8.3: ordered white/black FSD
8.24: text it would be 3-4 weeks (first communication)
9.10: VIN showed up in source code
9.11: scheduled delivery for 9.20
9.18: finalized financing and fully paid
Tomorrow: will be a Tesla owner!!!!

Hoping I can get the 2 years of free supercharging. I enquired with an SA on the phone in Chicago and she said no. I wrote my delivery specialist and have yet to receive a response. Fingers crossed!

That’s a load of BS. You’ve had one of the longest waits here - only surpassed by the late July folks. People waiting half as long as you (and me) have received the free supercharging.

Personally I’m not even going to ask because:

1.) We aren’t going to use it. We have over 1800 free supercharger miles left from referrals and never use them because we’re just charging at home @ 37mi/hr and don’t take long road trips.

2.) I’d like to retain the last shred of respect I have for Tesla, and not asking for the free supercharging means they have one less opportunity to disappoint me with a “No” answer.

I plan on using the same shop for tint, chrome delete, and maybe ppf -- what tint are you going with?
