Performance Waiting Room

I tried calling the Tempe delivery center. The first attempt was to the new vehicle delivery department but went straight to voicemail and it said the box was full. Second attempt was to sales, no answer and got a recording saying to use the chat feature on the Tesla page. 3rd attempt was the chat feature. Which has been saying "Connecting you with a tesla expert" for about 15min now.

I've got a couple of friends selling their immaculate GTRs to make room for some exotics in their garage. Every day that goes by buying one of their GTRs or jumping on the bandwagon and buying an exotic gets more and more tempting. Especially since I can't even get into contact with tesla.

Crazy!!! I called twice and talked to a delivery specialist right away. Try calling around the afternoon time. (602) 643-0024 press 4 for delivery.

I'll try again later, that's the number I called. I just wish they'd give us solid and accurate information. Heck I'd be willing to drive to Fremont and pick it up if they'd look past the mileage on my trade.

Talked to my Orange County Delivery center contact today, they said all existing orders are guaranteed to deliver by the end of the month. Everything being built now until EOM is being delivered in California. White Perf Model 3 with black interior will be the last combo for production (which is what I ordered on 7/28). They offered if I wanted a car now they could give me a white/white car now coming off the line....said I would wait.

I ordered 7/28 - P3D White/Blk - Fremont pickup

I have a VIN in the source now.
And the page format changed to ask for final payment. My plan is to bring the ol' checkbook to see the car before giving money - especially given panel / paint issues for the EOQ builds!
I assume that not paying ahead won't delay my delivery.

Did you check your Tesla account source code? I got a VIN last night showing up in there. No delivery date or any other contact yet. I'm in San Diego, ordered 8/2 M3P White/Black.

Just got another email... says it might come in early and could possibly pick up tomorrow.

What a change in emotions over the last few hours. Went from angst and anger to excitement and joy. :)

I’m pretty sure Tesla is hedging their bets that all the angst/hate directed their way over the last two months will be more or less forgotten once you drive off in your new M3. Most people seem to be in that camp - me included.

In reality it wasn’t about the wait. I waited 10 weeks for my ‘07 BMW 335i to ship from Germany and was fine with that because the delivery expectation was accurate. It was the promise of 2 weeks and the unknown status of the car/delivery during the Tesla wait that pissed a lot of people off.

Tesla has some legitimately incredible products. Better design/engineering/tech, and years ahead of the other ICE manufacturers trying to play catch up. If they can dial up the customer experience to the level which buyers of this car expect, they’ll truly dominate this market for years to come. But they have a L-O-N-G way to go.

I called and got through without any issue. My car isn't even on a truck yet so they said taking delivery earlier than Monday is unlikely, but they'll be in contact once they actually know it's in transit
