And yes laminated glass would not shatter but that doesn't mean an emergency glass breaker becomes worthless. You could still make the glass flexible enough to either kick it out or bend it down.

i saw a video where a Model Y driver did that during a fire. Apparently, he did not know that there was a manual door release and kicked the side glass until it folded out and down. This was possibk due to the Tesla's frameless windows. I don't think it would be possible to do this with laminated gkess in a framed design.

I think it's still possible, especially in an emergency when your adrenaline is full blast.

Found the video. Does not appear to involve the big battery ; fire fighters quickly extinguished it... At the begining of the video, the kicked out side glass can be seen hanging down alongside the door.
