Possible reservation number hint on My Tesla

This site may earn commission on affiliate links.
Non-owner, in store (Raleigh, NC) ordered 3/31 at 12:32 PM EDT has reservation ID 381xxx, in sequence with just about everyone else here.

Re: UID, this most likely has to do with when you registered for your MyTesla account. Mine is only 5 digits (72xxx), since I registered 4+ years ago. For those who only registered to reserve Model 3, it would mostly correspond to your order sequence.

For people who ordered in person on 3/31, but ended up with a 5xxxxx reservation ID, I bet your credit card wasn't charged until the next day. Tesla probably has the transaction time and the posting time in their database, so you'll be fine. The reservation ID was likely not assigned until the transaction posted. In most cases, this would be right away, but sometimes there's a delay (internet flaky, card provider flagged charge as suspicious, whatever...).

I think you might be on to something there. mine was 377xxx and reserved 3/31 at 11:40am. I think the 3 means model 3 started at 300000 and went from there. Not total cars but total from 300k.
77k for me makes sense. I guessed 60k for me. If I'm that low I'd be thrilled, but if at time of unveil
there were 115k and online was open-I'm guessing they might have started at 315000 or so. Just a guess.

Haven't finished reading this thread yet, but FWIW: I reserved in Massachusetts 3/31 around 11:30am, and I also have 377xxx...

Very few outliers in the list so far, considering recollection of time of day. Reservation id to time of day correlates strongest from those that recall exact submission time. Lowest:36xxxx, highest:69xxxx.

Sorry, mine is going to throw off your list a little since I don't have an exact online order time (Not sure how you guys do, actually).

I know I filled out the page the second it opened, but by the time I submitted, I'm sure a minute had gone by.

Reading just a few lines of codes above, we have:

<input class="VinName" type="hidden" name="common_vin_name" value="" />
<input class="CountryCode" type="hidden" name="common_country_code" value="US" />
<input class="ModelCode" type="hidden" name="common_model_code" value="m3" />
<input class="ModelName" type="hidden" name="common_model_name" value="Model 3" />

<input class="ConfigId" type="hidden" name="common_config_id" value="" />
<input class="Region" type="hidden" name="common_region" value="NA" />

Note the bold one I highlighted here. If there's any Model S/X reservation holder out there, it would be great if you can check the source code to see under the ModelCode and ModelName that are NOT for your Model 3 reservation, if the "ReservationId" in discussion here is substantially different.

Absolutely thinking this may be counting upwards from 300,000 (mostly). Going off Zenmaster's list:

I slot in just nicely with 632xxx ordered on the 3rd April 23:22. I also ordered just after the 300,000 mark was announced. UK reservation holder..

Kind of an outlier, in-store 10:06am PST, ID: 383xxx. Considering I'm an owner and got my order in 6 minutes after the doors opened one would imagine I'd be closer to 36 or 37
Your store opened later than quite a lot other stores (outside of US, east coast, and those opens at 9am on the west coast). So this can easily explain the few k here. Also, I think you would be flagged at another place as an owner. So when they ready to produce the batch of 383000-384000, you will get to the first of line. Or they could filter for owners and then check this number for all owners.

What's the difference roughly between you and I?

You 364XXX
Me 3651XX

As the time difference might mean we were minutes apart. If Austria is an hour ahead.

Somewhere between 300-400, that could be right, as that was the time where all the stores opened and the queues got processed.

I was just checking, got my reservation mail at 9:06 so the reservation was ca. at 9:00.

Thank you. I was 8:13 and email arrived at 8:16 so yeah we were about 13minutes part once the time difference is taken into account.
