Power Coat my Wheels Grey or Black?

I'm about to get my cyclone wheels power-coated. Was going to get grey, but then I saw a set for sale that is black, very much a glass finish. It would be much easier logistically to buy a set already done and just sell mine, but I haven't seen any in grey (for a reasonable price anyway).

What do you guys think would look better on my dark blue S - grey or black?

Ok, I don't want to "Power" coat my wheels. I sure wish there was a way to edit the title! Oh well, I'll just have to look like an idiot on this one. Guess I'll pay more attention next time.

On that color car with the chrome trim, I think you current set up looks best. Not sure I would powder coat and put darker wheels on, unless you blacked out the chrome...but it looks good as is.

Thanks guys. That's the problem when you buy a car like this - the funnest part is mod'ing it!

I need some photoshopping to see how the grey wheels look. Would hate to powder coat them and not like it.

Satin black would get my vote. Tesla Gray would be 2nd choice. Both should be satin for me, not gloss and not matte.

When you say OEM grey, were they silver and you had them painted/powder coated, or did they come grey?

Looks VERY nice. Can you paint your car blue so I can see that too?

It was $700 for all 4 wheels

This morning, I called a local alloy wheel repair shop, was quoted $165 per wheel to powder coat gloss black, including any curb rash fix.

No, I had them painted, along with the brake calipers. A shop in Arlington VA that mostly works repairing Mercedes. They look great.
